August at Home
August is one of those slower months — in the best way. More time at home, cooking, baking, getting outside for long walks with the dog, even trying my hand at sourdough (not perfect, but getting there).
No big plans, just the small routines that start to feel like rituals.
Here’s what home looks like lately:
More from-scratch meals
I’ve been cooking simpler food — minimal ingredients, nothing processed. Roast veg, fresh pasta, bread from scratch. I have been reaching for the Sage Dinner Plate a lot so far this summer —perfect for serving, with a minimal design which lets the food do the talking.

The mug I use most mornings
Right now, it’s the Cinnamon Silas Mug. Hand-glazed, with a warm, earthy tone — it’s the one I reach for without thinking.

Something cold in a nice glass
Lately it’s been homemade peach iced tea (obsessed!), or a quick summer spritz in the evening. The Dot Glass in Mocha feels like the perfect glass — handblown, a little textured, and just a bit more special than your average glass.

A bowl that lives on the counter
Right now it’s full of homegrown figs from our family’s fig tree, alongside lemons, oranges (standard in summer), pink grapefruits, and plums. The Grove Fruit Bowl is perfectly rustic and looks good whether it’s overflowing or nearly empty.

Always on hand
The Loom Cotton Pot Holder is probably the most useful thing in the kitchen right now — I leave it by the hob or oven, and it just gets used constantly. Especially for a fresh loaf just out of the oven.

We've also been working on designing something new for Rust. Something just right for everyday use. The first samples are in, and they’re looking lovely! More on that soon...
