It's a Mallorca Summer

Mallorca is one of those places I keep coming back to — warm, familiar, and always just a little bit magic. I wanted to share a few favourites: where we stayed, the meals worth remembering, the beaches I’d go back to, and a few spots that made me pause.

Whether you’re planning a trip or just looking for somewhere to save for later, here’s my personal guide — with the kind of places that feel relaxed, considered, and quietly beautiful.

Where to Stay

Concepció by NobisPalma
A calm, design-led hotel in the heart of Palma’s old town. I stayed here and really recommend it — the interiors are beautiful without feeling overdone, the pool is tucked away and quiet, and the location is ideal for walking everywhere. It strikes a perfect balance between stylish and relaxed.

Can FerreretaSantanyí
A peaceful, adults-only retreat in the southeast of the island. Set in a restored 17th-century mansion, Can Ferrereta is all stone walls, warm tones, and considered design. Great for a quieter stay, with a lovely pool and spa, and close to some of Mallorca’s most beautiful beaches.

La Residencia, A Belmond HotelDeià
Tucked into the hills of Deià, this is one of the island’s most iconic stays. The views are incredible, the gardens feel timeless, and it has that special mix of laid-back and luxurious. Worth it if you're after a treat or celebrating something special.

Where to Eat

El CaminoPalma
Founded by Eddie Hart, who also co-founded London’s Barrafina, El Camino brings that same vibrant tapas bar energy to Mallorca. The menu is full of fresh, local ingredients and classic Spanish small plates. It’s a lively spot with counter seating, perfect for a relaxed evening in Palma’s old town.

RikitoPalma
Tucked away on a quiet square, this place feels like a local secret. Simple, unpretentious seafood and great wine. Go at golden hour.

Sea Club at Cap RocatCala Blava
Set into the cliffs overlooking the sea, this stylish spot is perfect for a relaxed lunch or sunset drinks. The menu focuses on fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavours, paired with stunning views and a laid-back vibe. It’s a place to slow down and soak up the Mallorca coast.

Where to Swim

Gran Folies Beach ClubCala Llamp
Built into the rocks, this isn’t a sandy beach — but a perfect place to spend a full day with a lounger, umbrella, and cold drink. The sea here is deep blue and glassy.

Cala Deià
A postcard-perfect cove with clear water and a small stone beach. Bring sandals for walking the rocks and stay for lunch at Ca’s Patro March — perched just above the water.

Es TrencSouth coast
Long, pale sands and turquoise water — often called Mallorca’s “Caribbean.” It gets busy, so best early in the day or later toward sunset.
